What is the purpose of the oxygen converter blowing process control?

The purpose of the oxygen converter blowing process control is to stabilize the operation, shorten the smelting time, reduce various energy consumption, and improve the end point hit rate, thereby achieving "high yield, high quality, low consumption and labor saving". 

In particular, the blowing control requires the formation of alkaline slag as much as possible to speed up the reduction of carbon and slagging. 

Under the condition of adding as little auxiliary material as possible, ensure sufficient desulfurization and dephosphorization of molten steel; minimum splashing and slag overflowing during the blowing process, long furnace age, high metal yield, product specifications meet the requirements, energy consumption less.

The specified standards and materials were ASTM A53 GR.B, with a diameter of 2”, wall thickness SCH40, and a length of 6 meters.
