Weathering steel long piles successfully shipped from Xinyue

In early October 2019, Xinyue received a special long pile inquiry from a South American customer for the purpose of cable car piling.  After more than a month of negotiations, Xinyue successfully won this project among many competitors in various countries.

During the production process, TUV inspectors accompanied the whole process and witnessed various experiments such as non-destructive testing and water pressure. After one to two weeks of production, all the pipes were completed. The customer flew to Tianjin for the final inspection. After the inspection, they were very satisfied with the quality. All the pipes finally caught up with the last ship before the Spring Festival holiday.

The specified standards and materials were ASTM A53 GR.B, with a diameter of 2”, wall thickness SCH40, and a length of 6 meters. The total order was for approximately 130 tons of one specification, with the pipe ends to be threaded and accompanied by couplings and caps for use in well pressure testing at the project site. Due to the approaching end of the year, the client requested that all materials be shipped within 30 days to avoid delays due to the Chinese New Year holiday.
